INTRODUCTION
From the Black Sea coast arching southwards passing Mount Ararat and Lake Van, this adventurous tour explores the impressive remains of the Christian kingdoms of the Empire of Trebizond, last outpost of the Byzantine Empire, and the 10th-century Armenian kingdom of Ani. Incorporating wonderful, largely unsung Christian and Seljuk architecture, it culminates with the extraordinary site of Nemrut Dagi.
