INTRODUCTION

Focusing on the history and roots of modern Turkey, this tour will journey through the north west of the country with time to consider its economic and cultural development since the establishment of the republic by Kemal Atatürk in 1923. You will also visit some lesser known quarters of Istanbul and vestiges of the early Hittite Empire.
