INTRODUCTION

The Jordan River valley is synonymous with 10,000 years of historical events and the Pharaohs, Alexander the Great, Moses, the Prophet Mohammed and Lawrence of Arabia have all passed this way. Travel the length and breadth of this small country including the rose city of Petra with 2012 marking the 200th anniversary of its rediscovery.
