TOUR ITINERARY
- London/Muscat - Day flight to Muscat, arriving in the evening.
- Muscat - Today visit the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, a gift from the present ruler to his people, the Natural History Museum, Bait Al Zubair Cultural Museum and Beit Baranda. Also take a walk through the atmospheric souq.
- Muscat / Ra’s al Hadd - Morning boat trip exploring the dolphin-rich waters of the Gulf of Oman. Then drive south along the unspoiled east coast via Wadi Tiwi, visited by Ibn Battuta, and Sur to visit dhow boatyards. In the evening, the chance to experience nesting green turtles at Ra’s al Hadd.
- Wahiba Sands (Christmas Day)- Leaving the coast behind, journey deep into the beautiful dunes of the Wahiba Sands to spend a memorable night under star-filled skies at your Bedouin style desert camp.
- Nizwa- Journey on to Nizwa, one of Oman’s oldest cities and once a centre of trade and religion, exploring Jabrin Castle famous for its elaborately painted ceilings and carved verses of the Koran.
- Nizwa- Explore Nizwa, observing the traditionally attired men, complete with khanjars, in the local markets, then a visit to the magnificent Nizwa Fort. Afternoon walk through the terraced fields and picturesque villages of Jebel Akhdar.
- Mussanah- Drive to Mussanah, via Wadi bani Auf, one of the most beautiful wadi’s in Oman
- Muscat/ London- Day at leisure by the Gulf of Oman. Early evening transfer to Muscat for your overnight flight to London.
- London- Arrive back into London
