TOUR ITINERARY
- London/Istanbul - Fly to Istanbul. Evening introductory talk over drinks and dinner.
- Christmas Eve: Constantinople- Morning tour of Topkapi Palace, including the harem. Afternoon view of the Hippodrome remnants, the Blue Mosque and the Church of SS Sergius & Bacchus. Evening cocktail and dinner at your hotel.
- Christmas Day: Constantinople - Morning visit to the Suleymaniye Mosque followed by time at the atmospheric Christmas Mass celebration at the Patriarchal Church of St George. On to see the unique cast iron Church of St Stephen of the Bulgars, then stroll through the famed Spice Bazaar. Christmas Lunch at a Turkish restaurant overlooking the Golden Horn. Afternoon at the Archaeological Museum.
- Constantinople - Morning Bosphorus cruise to view the European and Asiatic shores. After lunch, city tour to see the fabulous mosaics of St Saviour in Chora, the city walls, Eyup Mosque and Cemetery. End the day at the Pierre Loti teahouse.
- Constantinople - Visit the magnificent Haghia Sophia and then enter the nearby atmospheric underground Basilica Cistern. Afternoon at leisure with time to explore the Grand Covered Bazaar or for personal museum visits.
- Istanbul/London - At leisure until the transfer to the airport for your return flight to London.
