INTRODUCTION

The Phoenicians were the indigenous population of The Levant, renowned for their artistry, craftsmanship and sea trade. Their empire, at its height between 1200 and 800 BC, controlled over 300 cities around the western Mediterranean. This short tour studies their expansion into the westernmost Mediterranean and concentrates on their colonies and trading posts in Andalucía.
