INTRODUCTION

Hungary’s fascinating culture spans Celtic, Roman, Early Christian, Renaissance and Ottoman periods. Spectacularly located on the River Danube, Budapest itself holds many treasures, not least the galleries of the Royal Palace and Museum of Fine Arts. There will be opportunities to appreciate music recitals, including an opera performance, as well as the delights of the Lake Balaton wine region.
